LA MELMA ALBUM

"La Melma" translates to “The Jam” which in Dominican Slang means "The Drug". The collection holds 15 songs and is regarded as an avant-garde Bachata album with a futuristic sound and various musical fusions, creating a unique sound within the Genre.

The album artwork is vinyl cover design, showing a man walking into an empty canvas and filling it in with his shadow. The manifestation demonstrates the creation of a new universe as a home for his experience, the need for emphasis on culture and a new sound.

Each song in “La Melma” is connected to a bigger picture. The first song of the album entitled “La Chucky” is the beginning of a love story. The album takes the listener through an emotional roller coaster ending in heartbreak and drug addiction. Versátil intended to shine light on modern relationships, and for the listener to feel connected through this relatable story. Nandy hopes his music continues to bring his beloved audience a sense of understanding, peace and unity.
